 DURIAN
Known as the “King of Fruits,” Durian has a very particular odor, a unique taste and is covered by a hard husk. Its shape ranges from oblong to round, the color of its husk green to brown, and its flesh pale yellow to red, depending on the species.





DRAGON FRUITS
Dragon fruit is a fruit of several cactus species with a sweet delicate taste and creamy pulp. The most common dragon fruit is the red pitaya, Juice or wine can be obtained from the fruit, while the flowers can be eaten or used for tea.



MANGOSTEEN
The mangosteen is another evergreen tree that produces oddly shaped fruits. The fruits are purple, creamy, described as citrus with a hint of peach. It is rich in antioxidants, some scientists even suggesting it can lower risk against certain human diseases, such as cancer. There are even legends about Queen Victoria offering a reward to the one that brings her the fruit.



PASSION FRUIT
The passion fruit has a soft, juicy interior full of seeds, being commonly found in juices to boost their flavors. There are two types of passion fruit: the golden one (maracuyá), similar to a grapefruit and the dark purple passion fruit (gulupa), comparable in terms of size with a lemon.



JACKFRUIT
Jackfruit is a common fruit for Asia and Australia and considered as one of the largest tree borne fruit in the world. The juicy pulp around the seeds have a taste similar to pineapple, but milder. Apart from canned jackfruit, it is also available as sweet chips. The wood of the tree is used for making various musical instruments, while the fruit is a common ingredient for many Asian dishes

ZALACCA/SNAKE FRUIT
Salak (Salacca zalacca) is a species of palm tree native to Indonesia and Malaysia. It is a very short-stemmed palm, with leaves up to 6m long; each leaf has a 2m long petiole with spines up to 15cm long, and numerous leaflets

BANANA FLOWER
The banana flower is a large, dark purple-red blossom that grows from the end of a bunch of bananas. Its sizable bracts, or leaves, snugly enclose delicate, sweetly scented male flowers. The female flowers, which do not require fertilization to become fruit, grow farther up the stem from the male flowers


DUKU
Langsat is a medium to large tree, cultivated trees usually 15-30 feet (5-10 m) tall, The yellowish peel is easily removed to reveal whitish translucent, aromatic, juicy pulp divided into 5-6 segments. The flavor is reminiscent of sweet grapefruit. Fruits usually contain 1-3 greenish seeds

SERIKAYA/SWETSOP
The fruit flesh is sweet, white to light yellow, and resembles and tastes like custard. The edible portion coats the seeds generously; a bit like the gooey portion of a tomato seed






MATOA
Unseasoned fruits, it can be plucked at least 3-4 times per year per tree. Sweet tastes similar to Durian.




KESEMEK
Apple families, sweet and crunchy. Meat texture is just like medium ripe papaya. Rich of antioxidant, beta carotene and fiber. 




BITTER GOURD
Bitter Gourd are rich in iron, calcium and phosphorus, and in vitamins that is Known to have powerful astringent properties. these are used as a laxative, for stomachache, a taenifuge and anthelmintic, and to treat fevers .these are also used as a purgative and vermifuge ,it can be taken in making dishes


SPONGE GOURD/CHINESE OKRA
Luffa is a fast-growing, long-season, warm-climate vine plant that can climb up to 15 feet high. The fruit is edible only when immature and is cooked like zucchini. The matured fruit forms sponge-like fibers inside. After the fruit matured, dried, skin and seeds removed/cleaned, fibers are often used as scrubbers, cleaning pads or bath sponges. Thus, this vegetable is also called Dish Cloth Luffa

PETEH BEAN (FOR SALAD)
Bears flowers in a light-bulb shaped mass at the end of long stalks. The flowers secrete a nectar that attracts bats and other pollinators. The tiny flowers mature and die. Long, twisted, translucent pods emerge in a cluster of 7 or 8 pods. When those pods are mature, within them will reside the petai beans or seeds.

CHILIES/CABE/LOMBOK
Chilies are used to add a hot flavor to food. Red or green chilies are often used to add colors to a meal also. There are many varieties, and they are readily available, though they are easy to grow in tropic.









TURMERIC LEAF/DAUN KUNYIT. Turmeric has a yellow root related to ginger, and tumeric powder is made from this root. The aromatic leaf, used in some regional cooking. Dried leaves are also fine.








PANDAN LEAF (PANDANUS LEAF).
This aromatic leaf is from a particular variety of Pandanus. Dried leaves are fine. It is useful for flavoring rice, cakes and to provide green colorings (food dye) in some regional dishes.
